Why players never pay

Per-seat pricing is the natural model for business software and completely wrong for a hobby.

Per-seat pricing works when the seats are employees. It fails badly when the seats are your friends.

The moment a player has to enter a card to join a game, the game master becomes a salesperson. We have watched it happen on other platforms: the GM either eats the cost quietly or spends a session chasing five pounds from four people, one of whom is going to drop out anyway.

So we price per table. The game master pays, the party joins with a link, and nobody at the table has a conversation about money.
